    To my honey bear,
I cannot even express to you how much I miss you already. The house is so quiet without you even though there are tons of people here; you were (and still are) soooo loved. What I wouldn’t give to hear your voice just one more time or for you to come up and kiss me on the forehead. You will forever be in my heart and I will love you always and forever.

  3. Tammy Spurgeon says

    March 26, 2007 at 1:00 AM

I will never forget Kraig, he was always so polite, giving, intelligent, and respectful; a round about perfect soul. I was never able to repay him for all that he did for me and for my family, but he didn’t want to be repaid he just did things out of the goodness of his heart. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of his family and friends. We will miss him so much. Rest In Peace Kraig you made a difference in so many lives!

A true friend. Someone you can depend on. Someone who is there for you no matter what the cost. That’s who Kraig Powell was. I met Kraig first when he came to work in the GM Dept at Adesa. I could tell immediately that he was someone I wanted to call a friend. Not long after that we began working out together after work. All you have to do is look at Kraig and you know he lift weights. Needless to say keeping up with him wasn’t easy. There’s not a time I can remember that we weren’t laughing when we got together. Kraig was always good at making you smile no matter what mood you were in. Kraig will never be far from my thoughts. One of the few people in the world i can call a true friend. Honest and unfaltering in his devotion to friendship.
Regretfully I am unable to attend the service as I am training for Iraq. Kraig always was interested and supportive of my military career. It was an honor to call him a friend. Forever in my heart and my prayers. I love you Kraig.

    To the family of Kraig:

I cannot remember a day that went by that Kraig and I did not speak on our cell phones, since he came on with Inspection Solution. We always had such a good time whether we were “working” at the auction together or just chatting on the phone. We had made some plans to go somewhere soon with the women in our lives, and I regret that we will not be able to that now. There was never a time that I hung up the phone with Kraig that I was not grinning from ear to ear. He always called me “idiot.” That was just his sense of humor, and how I wish he could call one more time and make me laugh. I will miss him dearly, and my heart goes out to his beloved wife, whom he talked about all the time. May God bless all of you during this time.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Powell family. Being friends with Jessica at St. Mike’s, I was over at their home alot as kids. Many memories that make me laugh. Kraig and Kory never left Jessica and I alone. I will always remember him sliding down the slip and slide on the side of the home in Schereville making me and Jessica laugh.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

    Kory & Family,

I was shocked to see this terrible tragity. There was never a time when you saw one without the other. We had some great times and you both were, and are still considered great friends. Our prayers are with all of you and your family.

    Jacque-

Just wanted you to know that we are still thinking about you. We hope you received our package and our thoughts and prayers were able to provide you with some comfort at least for a moment. Remember that we are just a phone call away if there is anything at all you need, even if itÆs just a shoulder to lean on or an old friend to talk to. May you find continued strength and hope with each new day. With love,

I don’t know why, but I feel like I need to express my thoughts even though most people probably will never go back to this site to read them. It has been 1 Year, 5 months, and 26 days since we lost Kraig and some people that knew him best have went back to “regular” living including myself on most days. I just wanted to say that I still miss my best friend Kraig. I am still thinking of you Jacque and the offer always exists for my help. I also wanted to say Thank You for picking out such a great stone to remember him with. It does as best as a stone can to show what a great person he was and the most important of many things he was a part of.

    -Steve
